All of the 5/6 went to camp and when we came back one of our task for homework was that we do a recount about camp and here is my recount about camp.
Camp Kangaroobie!!!!!
On the 5th of May, all of the 5/6 went to Kangaroobie. It took 4 hours but we stop at a park to have recess. Then we got back on the bus and went to Otway fly, where we have lunch and had a guide tour. Finally we got to Kangaroobie and all of the 5/6 got their bags and went to their cabins to unpack. We had 10 minutes to unpack and then go to a room where we would have dinner every night. When we went into the room there was a guy and he introduces himself to us and told us all of the rules. While we were listening to that we got to drink hot chocolate. After he told us all about the rules we got to have free time and do want we want to do. At 6:00 we had dinner and we had pasta that night. It was yum and good. Late that night we were going on a night walk but just as we were leaving a car came up the drive way and Mat said “Oh NO!!!!!!, that what I need to tell you, we are having Brush Dancing instead of doing Night Walk because they can’t make it tomorrow so we are doing it today’’. So all of the 5/6 went back to their cabins and put away their touches, wool jackets and beanie. Then everyone came back and did Brush Dancing and it was really fun but we stop at 10:00 and had supper. The supper was cake and hot chocolate and all of the 5/6 like it especially me. After everyone had finished having their supper everyone was asked to brush their teeth and to go to sleep. Everyone was talking that night but when the teacher said “Time to go to bed” and light was out, my cabin keep on talking for a little bit but when a teacher said “Get to sleep girls” all of us went to sleep. The next day, everyone woke up early but the people in Eric the Red woke up exert early and that was my cabin, also they woke me up to. Everyone had duty to do and I was in Rainforest Rangers and my duty was breakfast so I had to set the table up and get the food on the table. We had cereal, toast and eggs and they were yum but I just had cereal on Tuesday. After breakfast we did activities and everyone was in groups like me and the two other groups names were Lochard Leaders and Shipwreck Sailors. The first activities that my group did was farming then obstacle course then canoeing and last was a game called life or death. We fed the cows and Ed and Will C kiss the pigs butt and they tried to ride on the pigs. Also we fed cows and went to mat house where we fed a baby cow because we couldn’t feed the baby cows the hay just the cows. That is what we did for farming. The obstacle course was really fun and we had to go into partner and first we went through it with the whole group, then we were timed so we have to do the fastest that we could go. Also if you and your partner was the muddiest you got a prize. Canoeing was the best activity and it was really fun. Then we did a game called life or death and you got disease or herbivore or carnivorous and if you were a disease you would start off with 0 lies but you could get lies and touch everyone. But if you were a herbivore you can’t touch anyone but you just have to stay away from everyone. Also they got to start off with 8 lies because they couldn’t touch anyone and they just have to get water and stay way for everyone. If you were a carnivorous you got to only touch the herbivore and carnivorous start off with 5 lies. That night we had pie for dinner and it was yum. After dinner we went for a night walk and mat was tell us stories. When we had finish going on a night walk we had a Trivia Night and Miss Pound made all of the question up. After the Trivia Night we had supper again and for supper we got hot chocolate and biscuit. When all of the 5/6 had finished that we all brush our teeth and went to bed. On Wednesday we went to see the 12 Apostle and took lots of photos with friend and the 12 Apostle in the background. Then all of the 5/6 went back on the bus and we went to Loch Ard Gorge where we had lunch and played in the playground. At the playground there were two Flying Foxes and I went on one of them. After we had played at the park for a while we went back on the bus and went to The Flag Maritime Museum. All of the 5 year went together and all of the 6 years went together. When we got their we went into a school and we acted like we were kids in the 1900. Then we have to write on a chalkboard and wear unformed. After we did that we watch a short movie and then we got into groups of 3 or 4 and got booklets. In the booklets were question that we have to answer and the answer were in the Museum. After all of the 5/6 answer all of the questions we all went back on the bus to go back to Kangaroobie. When we got back it was dark and it was dinner time so the people on dinner duty did their duty and while they were doing that people got to have free time. We had barbecue for dinner and it was the best meal for the week. After dinner we were asked to write in our dairy and ask a teacher to check it or we couldn’t go to Tabloid sport. Mrs Owies held the Tabloid Sport and that was really fun and we have to get in groups for that. After the Tabloid Sport we could talk in bed for a little bit if you want to. My cabin talked for a while to lights was out. The Next day we went to the beach but it took a long time to get there and the time I got there I was so tied. When we were at the beach we could do whatever we want to do and I build a snowman but with sand and build it with Georgia Sm, Ruby and Olivia. Also we did a chocolate hunter. Before we left we played a game and the game was keeping off girls when boys had it and when girls had it, it was keeping off boys. The teachers were on the girl side because they were girl but Mr Gorman is a boy but he was still on the girl’s team. When all of the 5/6 came back from the beach all of the girls were getting ready for the formal . I was with Eloise and Alex. After the formal we got into our pyjamas and watch a movie. When it was half way one of the teachers stop the movie and we got into groups of 5 and had popcorn and chocolate. Then we watch the rest of the movie and when the movie had finished we had supper and the supper was hot chocolate and cake. After we had supper everyone brush their teeth and went to bed. On Friday we had breakfast and pack up all of our luggage and thanked all of the staff that work at Kangaroobie. Then heard off back home, we stop once at a park for lunch and thanked the bus drives at the park. Then went back on the bus and at 3:30 we got to school and saw all of our mums and sisters or brothers. Then left school and came home.
